On March 15, Tri-County convened with nine other district chapters to compete in 28 leadership contests at the district level. Tri-County members participated in twenty-two different contests and walked away with ten first place victories and a total of eighteen contestants placing in the top three of their division.
FIRST PLACERS Wayde Cochran, Greenhand Ag Mechanics Demonstration Brett Woodcock, Greenhand Natural Resources Demonstration Kizer Sheldon, Freshman Extemporaneous Public Speaking Emily Kilmer, Creed Speaking Dakota Westphal, Extemporaneous Public Speaking Chance Cochran, Food Science Demonstration Tri-County FFA, Multi-Media Scrapbooking SECOND PLACERS Robyn Corbin, Freshman Public Speaking Alexis Pearson, Prepared Public Speaking Jordan Stearns, Ag Sales Jada Rance & Emily Misch, Animal Science Demonstration Brook Langley & Miranda Hathaway, Horticulture/Landscape Demonstration Tri-County FFA, Exhibit THIRD PLACERS Cole Rigdon & Tyler Moon, Ag Business Demonstration Emily Kilmer & Josie Douglas, Natural Resources Demonstration District Proficiency winners were also recognized at the District I Leadership Contest Awards Presentation. Josie Douglas, Ag Communications & Ag Sales Placement Mitch Michal, Ag Mechanics Repair and Maintenance Alexis Pearson, AgriScience & Equine Placement Jada Rance, Beef Production, Chance Cochran, Specialty Crop Jordan Stearns, Swine Production Placement & Wildlife Jonah Miller, Turf Grass Management. The three District Stars were also recognized and they were Dakota Westphal in AgriScience, Jonah Miller in Ag Business, and Tyler Moon in Agricultural Placement. The Tri-County FFA is very proud of all of its proficiency and leadership contest participants.
