Twenty members of the TC FFA participated in the area CHEF contest on Tuesday, November 26. Of these, two competed in the horticulture contest, five competed in crops, six in entomology, and seven in the forestry contest. The crops team of Chance Cochran, Jada Rance, Joey Eldridge, and Sean Harrington placed fifth. Alexis Pearson, Josie Douglas, Louis Waldburger, and Dakota Westphal placed sixth as an entomology team with Alexis Pearson placing ninth as an individual. The senior forestry team of Shane Frey, Stefan Rust, Jordan Stearns, and JT Sipkema placed eleventh and the junior forestry team of Holly Lehe, Sydney Rust, and Samuel Thomas Rance Jr placed fifth. In the horticulture contest, Robyn Corbin placed second as an individual. The Tri-County FFA returned home on November 2 after a successful National Convention in Louisville, Kentucky.
Congratulations to: Agriscience Fair participants Alexis Pearson and Jada Rance who placed sixth in the nation, Sean Harrington who placed tenth, Dakota Westphal an Indiana state delegate, and Mr. Travis Scherer who was recognized as Region 4 Agriscience Teacher of the Year. |
